Garden Club
The North Harbour Garden Club is a non-profit educational organization. The objectives of the club are to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to defend from wasting the natural resources and to use these elements to beautify our community! The club was formed in 1983 and is federated which means it belongs to The Garden Club of Indiana.
The North Harbour Garden Club has two fund raising events each year. The first is the Spring Mulch Sale which enables property owners to easily obtain quality mulch. The second is the Spring Perennial Plant Sale where the plants sold come from the members’ gardens.
Members participate in both events and the earnings are used for several projects including buying plants for and maintaining the community’s North Harbour and the Banbury entrances. Plus the beautiful holiday look seen during the Christmas Season at both neighborhood entrances is also due to the efforts of club members.
The club membership is open to all residents of North Harbour. Club meetings, that consist of a variety of programs, are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month except March when the annual membership appreciation dinner is held at the Harbour Trees Golf Club.
The North Harbour Garden Club members, which include several American Horticultural Society Master Gardeners, are very proud of their accomplishments. As a club, they also contribute money to a variety of funds, such as Scholarships for young people, World Gardening causes, and Blue Star Memorials, along with taking part in a Noblesville community project every year.
Joining and participating in the Garden Club is a great way to meet your neighbors and beautify your community.
